Why should I choose Beaverton Strength & Conditioning over another gym?
We know you may have a lot of choices on where to workout. What’s best… A treadmill at home? The globo gym down the street that is $15/month? We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out. Beaverton Strength & Conditioning is home to Beaverton CrossFit and the Burn & Build. In addition to our group training, we offer personal training, bodywork services, and nutrition coaching. Come see what sets us apart from the other gyms.
What can I expect at my free Intro class?
We have two different options for a free intro class - CrossFit and Burn & Build. You are welcome to try one or both of these programs!
During your free CrossFit Intro class you will warm-up with the regular class and then break off with one of our coaches. Your coach will review a few of our basic movements and then cap the session with a brief workout. The coach will be able to determine if you are ready to jump into our regular classes or will recommend our OnBoarding program. Most people need to complete OnBoarding unless they have experience with the Olympic Lifts. Please arrive ten minutes early so we can check you into class and show you around the gym. Don't forget a water bottle and towel!
For Burn & Build you will jump in with the regular class. Please arrive 15 minutes early so the coach on duty can explain the workout of the day and get you checked into class. OnBoarding is not required for our Burn & Build program. Don't forget a water bottle and towel!
I’m not in very good shape… are your classes right for me?
The very first thing you will discover is that the programs at BSC do not discriminate. Whether you have been training for years or are new to working out, we will help you achieve your fitness goals.

Do I need to reserve a spot in class or just show up?
Yes! You must reserve your spot at least 30 minutes prior to class start time. We like to give our athletes lots of attention and class registration allows us to know if we need to add another coach to that time slot. Please use the online schedule or your Wodify App to reserve your spot!
What is Wodify?
Wodify is the app that enables you to sign into class, log your workouts and track your progress. Here is a video to explain how the Wodify app works.
How often do you recommend I come to the gym?
We recommend attending class between three and five days per week. If you’re just starting up, our coaches will help you with modifying your workouts so that you don't do too much too soon.
What exactly is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a fitness program that will change your life. By it’s definition, it uses “constantly varied, functional movement performed at a relative high intensity”. As a truly functional program, the difficulty level of our daily workouts is designed to be increased or decreased, depending upon the individual. This makes them doable by anyone.
Daily workouts could include things such as core conditioning, rowing, sprinting, gymnastics, lifting, etc. And all our workouts are designed to improve overall flexibility, strength, speed, endurance, and agility.
What is the Burn & Build?
The Burn & Build is a high energy training program that features performance technology! Whether your goal is to get a great workout, clear your mind, be social or get competitive, the Burn & Build will keep you engaged and motivated. Each one-hour class is broken up into a warm up, a conditioning segment, and a strength or physique segment. The segments will change daily, keeping your workouts fresh and exciting EVERY SINGLE TIME! All you have to do is show up leave the rest to our amazing certified coaches.
