Bio

Katie grew up participating in team sports, eventually pursuing softball at the Division I level in North Carolina, but she didn’t stumble upon CrossFit until 2017 when she settled back in the Pacific Northwest. CrossFit reignited a flame around performing and competing in a community that had faded away since her time in the collegiate arena. It was the sense of team that hooked her from day one, and it’s the methodology paired with the mental and physical challenge of the sport that keep her coming back.

She completed her CrossFit L1 in 2018, along with a personal training and nutrition coaching certification. Soon after, she left the corporate world and now trains individuals and coaches full time. She believes everyone is an athlete, and loves seeing people accomplish more than they ever imagined possible. It goes way beyond lifting heavier, running faster, and jumping higher – she has experienced and witnessed the confidence and values that spill from the gym into other areas of life.

Katie also has a love for endurance events, and has completed multiple marathons and ultra marathons – her favorite being circumnavigating Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens in recent summers. When she’s not in the gym, you’ll catch her on a trail or in the water when the weather is warmer.
